The Nigeria National Population Commission joins ADP ! (Abuja, Federal Republic of Nigeria - June 2012)

The Accelerated Data Program continues its reinforcement of the National Statistical System in Abuja, Nigeria. A Mircodata Management Toolkit Workshop was undertaken from June 18-22 to introduce the National Population Commission (NPopC) to the tools and the DDI standard. NPopC is the third federal agency now using the IHSN tools, together with the National Bureau of Statistics and the Ministry of Health. The tools were well received by technicians and senior management. The three primary producers of statistics now are poised to develop a common independent, distributed and federated data portal using the DDI as a platform for exchanging survey and census metadata and microdata through the NADA application.
