IHSN Toolkit training and convergence in Malawi (Liwonde, September 6-16, 2009)

A Microdata Management Toolkit Training was held in Liwonde, Malawi for the National Statistics Office. The training was also attended by a representative from the African Development Bank, Mr. Fessou Lawson. The AfDB will be partners in implementing good practices in data archiving in various pilot countries. Two representatives from the Zambian Statistics Office were also present.

This workshop helped encourage regional ties and collaboration in the area of data documentation.

In addition, Macro International, a member of the Consortium that implemented the 5-Year Evaluation for the Global Fund provided assistance to install the IHSN web based National Data Archive. The NADA is available on-line at: http://nso.malawi.net/NADA
