Jordan: The Department of Statistics (DoS) initiates data documentation activities (March 2010)
The DoS conducted a Microdata Management Toolkit training in Amman, Jordan (Feb. 21-March 5, 2010). The training was attended by 15 persons and documented 5 surveys (both English and Arabic).
A beta version of the Arabic NADA was tested. The DoS has expressed interest in developing both an Arabic and English NADA data archive.
Cabo Verde: INE sends a delegation to ANSD, Senegal, on study tour (March 2010)
INE Cabo Verde has contacted ADP for support. Two Representatives from INE went on study tour for two days to ANSD Senegal, who was one of the first ADP participating agency. The objective of the visit were to:
1) learn on the ADP tools and standards
2) discuss the benefits for a statistical agency to participate in the ADP
3) discuss the organizational issues in the establishment of a survey metadata system
4) discuss the opportunitites for involving the line ministries in the ADP
5) establish working relations on these issues between ANSD and INE
Philippines held 3 DDI Quality Review Workshops (January, February and March 2010)
The Philippine National Statistics Office (NSO) and the Bureau of Agricultural Statistics (BAS) held their respective DDI Quality Review Workshops in the first quarter of 2010 for publication online in the second quarter. The NSO held two workshops in Pasig City with the first batch on 27-29 January with 20 participants and the second batch on 8-9 March with 18 participants. The BAS, on the other hand, conducted their workshop in Tagaytay City from 01 to 05 February 2010 with 21 attendees.
Senegal: ANSD upgrades its National Data Archive Portal (February 2010)
Agence Nationale de la Statistique et de la Démographie (ANSD), Senegal, upgraded its NADA portal to version 2.0.

Cambodia : DDI Quality Review Workshop held in Phnom Penh (8-10 February 2010)
A DDI Quality Review Workshop was held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia from 8 to 10 February 2010. Participants to the workshop were 17 personnel from the National Institute of Statistics (NIS) and line ministries. Discussions focused on comments and recommendations to further improve the quality of documentation, based on prior review of the ddis. Documentation of microdata for the administrative-based Health Information System of the Ministry of Health provided a perfect example for the documentation of data from regular operations of line ministries.
