Microdata Management Toolkit Training and DDI Production Workshop for Nepal (Nagarkot, 17-21 May 2010)
A Microdata Management Toolkit Training was held in Nagarkot, Nepal from 17 to 21 May 2010. This is the seventh of the series of trainings held for Asia by the ADP. Participants comprised of 22 technically skilled personnel from the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) and other government agencies. The training included a DDI production workshop where 6 surveys were documented. DDIs of 2 surveys were presented to the Director General and Deputy Directors of the CBS who graced the training on the last day.
Malawi - National Statistical Office undertakes a production workshop and documents the DHS IV - Liwonde, April 19-30, 2010
The NSO documented 11 surveys in a production workshop. These were added to their NADA system which now contains 14 surveys. The DHS 2004 documentation was the first to use the standardized hierarchical file organization and templates as provided by the IHSN.
Washington - Statisticians from Fundaçao Joao Pinheiro (Brazil) trained on the IHSN microdata Management Toolkit, April 19-23, 2010
A team of two statisticians from the Fundaçao Joao Pinheiro (Brazil) visited the Development Data Group at the World Bank in Washington DC, where they were trained on the use of the IHSN Microdata Management Toolkit.
Zambia Central Statistical Office develop their Microdata Dissemination Policy in collaboration with ADP and the German Technical Collaboration (GTZ) - April 13-14, 2010
The ADP has been implemented in Zambia with the collaboration of the German Technical Collaboration (GTZ). The ADP has been providing technical backstopping to the GTZ Macro project which is supporting the Central Statistical Office.
Serbia: Microdata Toolkit Training for the Statistics Office (March 2010)
At the request of the National Statistics Office in Belgrade, Serbia, an introductory Microdata Management Toolkit Training was held (March 8-12, 2010). The surveys to be archived included a Labour Force Survey, the Household Budget Survey and a Household ICT Survey. These were documented and a final presentation cataloging the work undertaken using an internal National Data Archive was successfully completed. Six persons attended the session. A local intranet accessible NADA was left for internal review and further development.
